There are three of these files. I used the microtrack to record them. I put the mic on an extension and stuffed it inside of an already noisy drive and ran a defrag. These files are samples of the different types of noise that i got. Basically it's a close perspective on a working/struggling hard drive.

Recording near a computer fan and hard drive. Not great quality recording. I had placed the mic right where all the air was blowing. Sounds best on lower volumes.
Single hit of a vibraslap. Original file duplicated and processed with delay on one channel panned hard left and reverb on the second channel panned hard right. Hit moves nicely across the stereo field.
Wav_48khz_16bit_30"i have tried to produce "clean big hard rain" sounds for video illustration. For that purpose i have worked on a mix of several tracks:here is a mix of 3 rain sounds. You will find a second one to downloadmix of 2 rain soundshardrain_mixdown_v2. Wavps: i regret a distant airplane rumble. Is it possible nowadays to make a sound without a plane? grrr.
